This Is 4 My Girlz, Inc., a San Antonio-based nonprofit organization, has been empowering young women since its establishment in 2016. Operating under 501(c)3 status, the organization dedicates itself to fostering personal development among underserved females aged 8-24, while promoting the inherent value of women's lives across all demographics.
At the heart of our mission lies a comprehensive approach to youth development through various community initiatives. Our community initiatives include workshops led by "The Community Godmothers" - respected community leaders and liaisons who conduct specialized workshops and training sessions. These events cover a diverse range of essential life skills and personal development areas, including charm school etiquette, gun safety awareness, public speaking proficiency, and career development guidance. Group bonding activities are also conducted regularly as team-building exercises to promote sisterhood, open dialogue, and emotional connection between participants, all while developing collaboration, leadership, and social skills.
The organization maintains its operational momentum through strategic annual fundraising events and themed donation drives. Among our notable initiatives is the #StuffThePurse project, which mobilizes community support for essential resources. We also organize educational HBCU College Tours, providing young women with firsthand exposure to historically black colleges and universities. The "GenerationNEXT Summit Jam" (our 3-day annual youth conference) serves as a platform for youth engagement, leadership development and community inclusion, while the "Hip-Hopera: Passion 4 Fashion" Show creatively combines cultural expression with personal development.

Our motto, adapted from Proverbs 22:6, emphasizes our focus on female empowerment: "It takes a village to: train up a child in the way SHE should go; When SHE gets older, SHE will not depart from it." This creative adaptation, referred to as "Prov(HER)bs," highlights our commitment to creating a supportive community environment specifically tailored to young women's needs and aspirations.

Our "SiSTARS CIRCLE" program promotes peer support where members share experiences and celebrate growth together, creating immersive experiences for sisterhood bonding, trust-building exercises, and shared goal-setting activities.
